Genre complémentaire : Drame Résumé : Tobe vit avec son frère Lonnie et son père Wade, un policier inflexible, dans la vallée de San Fernando, en Californie. Un jour, elle croise Harlan, un jeune pompiste curieusement coiffé d'un chapeau de cow-boy. C'est le coup de foudre. Harlan décide aussitôt d'abandonner son travail pour la suivre. Tobe est séduite par cet homme libre qui vit dans son monde, en prenant modèle sur les héros de western. Mais le farouche Wade voit d'un très mauvais œil cette nouvelle fréquentation de sa fille...
